Lockbox-good
or bad?
We get this question a
lot. And the answer is YES.
Buyer's agents prefer to
show homes that have lockboxes. And imagine if an agent has a
buyer for your home. But, can not show your home when it is
convenient for them. They will tend to skip or save your
house last to show. And the worst part about that is, their
buyer may put an offer on another home, before ever seeing yours.
And your home could have been everything they wanted, but they
never bothered with your home because you didn't make it easy to
show.
Here are
some of the benefits to having a Lockbox
-
Programmable
-
Only
operates during certain hours of the day
-
Security
-
Only
licensed Realtors can use it
-
Records
time and date of every agent that accesses it
-
Allows
you the freedom of not having to be there every time an agent
comes to show the property.
-
Electronic
lockbox only
-
Don’t
have to make appointments and wait around for an agent that
may never show up or have the courtesy to call and notify you
they’re not coming
-
Most
Agents prefer to show houses that have a lockbox.
Most every
seller has them
